Water Drops

by Border Angels

With the help of volunteers, Border Angels leaves dozens of gallon jugs of water in the desert along high-traffic migrant paths. Why? Following 1994, when the US government implemented its border enforcement policies, more than 11,000 sons and daughters, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives have died. Their main cause of death? Dehydration.

Your donation will go towards transportation, water and administrative costs that allow us to place water in the desert to help save lives.

March Water Drop in Jacumba Mountains a Success

March 24, 2017 | San Diego, CA

We completed another successful water drop on March 17, 2017, and it was an absolute honor. The weather and terrain were very difficult, but we accomplished our mission.

To all that donated, volunteered, and helped in any way, I hope each of you understand that the water you placed in these critical areas reduced the likelihood of your fellow human beings dying an agonizing death. For you among us yesterday who have crossed yourselves, it was a privilege to have you. I hope the experience was powerful. For those without that experience, I hope you gained valuable perspective, perspective you can spread to those who didn't attend.

Especially in these times, we have the responsibility to educate friends, family, coworkers, fellow students, even acquaintances. We have to dismantle the false narrative surrounding immigrants, and it starts with you.

A huge thank you to our volunteers for stepping up yesterday. We thank you, but more importantly, migrants and their families thank you.
